Copenhagen Renaissance Music Festival 2006



Copenhagen Renaissance Music Festival 2006 - the first international renaissance music festival in Copenhagen - took place between October 22 - November 26 2006 as part of the Danish national Renaissance year.
During five weeks 18 different ensembles and soloists gave 17 concerts in all, including 164 individual musicians from 13 different countries.
Concerts were given by I Fagiolini (uk), Tetraktys (it), Tallis Scholars (uk), Maria Cristina Kiehr (ar), Ketil Haugsand (no), Janice Santos & Michael Spengler (de), Jauna Muzika (lt), Laude Novella (se), Ars Nova Copenhagen (dk), Musica Ficta (dk), Desperando Spero (dk), I Petrarchisti (dk), Allan Rasmussen (dk), Baroque Fever (dk), Capella Hafniensis (dk), Kantus København (dk) a.o.
Five masterclasses - with Jill Feldman, Kees Boeke, Ketil Haugsand, Michael Spengler and Robert Hollingworth - were given in collaboration with The Royal Danish Music Conservatory. The masterclasses were attended by 46 participants from 7 different countries.

an incomplete map of everything 2006

An interdisciplinary festival of language, performance, and sound @ Links Hall, Chicago, February 3 - 26 2006.  
Feb. 11 I presented a new sound-video performance version of the work-in-progress ORGAN - ORGAN [chicago requiem] - a remix of new and old material.
Feb. 12 I presented a selected number of danish and scandinavian sound artists which I had curated, including Goodiepal, Jonas Olesen, Jacob Kirkegaard, Brandon LaBelle, Tanja Schlander, Wäldchengarten, Pol Mod Pol, and Jab Mica Och El.
The festival was curated by Mark Booth.
